Methodology

An introduction needs a real reason.

A company appearing in a public database isn’t a live M&A mandate. We establish the circumstances in conversation.

  1. Find the right companies.

Start from what our advisory customer is looking for, not a generic database.

  2. Learn the owner’s situation.

Is an exit under consideration? Are they raising capital? Are they open to acquisition interest? Is there someone authorized to discuss it?

  3. Check the agreed criteria.

Geography, business size, transaction type, exclusions and whether the owner wants a conversation.

  4. Make the handoff.

Connect the owner with the adviser by email, carry across the relevant discussion and keep a record of what was actually introduced.

  5. Follow through.

Check whether the adviser received the information and whether anything further is needed. The adviser takes responsibility for diligence and the transaction itself.

Let’s talk about the mandates your firm wants.
